National Parks Talampaya, La Rioja, Argentina

Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the Talampaya National Park, rises in the low hills to the west of the province of La Rioja, where there was a provincial reserve since 1975, showcasing its scenic beauty and its treasures archaeological and paleontological.  


Sprawling over an area of 215 hectares, consisting of huge, strange formations, resulting from the passage of time and the action of erosive agents, and surrounded by a halo of mysticism that fuels its appeal, Talampaya boasts towering canyons of tall straight walls in which Monk images are discovered, the Wise Man, La Torre, among others.
